Regenerative Medicine

Japan was the first country in the world to legalize regenerative medicine, and all regenerative medical treatments provided in Japan have passed strict regulation and audits by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Additionally, Japan views regenerative medicine as a key industry and actively promotes innovative research and development in this field. In particular, Japan boasts some of the world’s leading treatment outcomes in stem cell therapy using autologous tissues.

Cancer Treatment

In April 2021, according to an announcement by the National Cancer Center, the 5-year survival rate for cancer patients in Japan reached 68.8%, surpassing the United States to become the highest in the world. Japan’s new cancer treatment technologies, including the world’s first approved major soluble virus therapy in June 2022, proton therapy, heavy ion therapy, and photodynamic therapy, have attracted international attention.
Our company not only assists patients who wish to undergo cancer treatment in Japan but also handles inquiries from overseas medical observation groups interested in visiting Japan to observe heavy ion and proton therapy.

Particle Therapy(Proton therapy and Heavy ion therapy)

Particle therapy in Japan, including proton therapy and heavy ion therapy, has been widely used not only as a palliative treatment for cancer patients to extend life and alleviate symptoms such as pain and prevent nerve paralysis but also as a curative treatment comparable to surgery for various cancers, thanks to advancements in irradiation technology in recent years.
In addition to conventional radiation therapy, Japan has a long history of using charged particles (ions) such as protons and carbon ions for particle therapy. Generally, particle therapy that uses protons is referred to as “proton therapy,” while particle therapy utilizing carbon ions is known as “heavy ion therapy.”

Characteristics of Particle Therapy (Proton Therapy & Heavy Ion Therapy)

Particle therapy, such as proton therapy and heavy ion therapy, has the characteristic of stopping at a specific depth within the body, which can be controlled by adjusting the velocity of the particle beam. Because particles deliver their maximum effect to cells just before stopping, particle therapy allows for highly concentrated doses of radiation to be delivered to tumor tissues. Unlike X-rays, which penetrate the body gradually, affecting the entire area of their passage, particle therapy delivers radiation in a more targeted manner. With X-rays, to protect surrounding healthy tissues from exposure, radiation must be delivered from multiple directions. In contrast, particle therapy can spare normal tissues with radiation from fewer directions. Therefore, for tumors deep within the body surrounded by normal tissues or in areas where even low doses of radiation can cause side effects, particle therapy offers a way to minimize side effects while achieving high treatment efficacy.

Conventional radiation therapy

Healthy cells near the body surface and deep within the tumor are also damaged, Furthermore, the strongest energy is not concentrated on cancer cells.

Proton beam (particle beam) therapy

The highest level of energy can be focused on cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue.

Vip Health Screening

Health checkups are a system that began in Japan, and are designed to examine the overall health of healthy people.
In addition to early detection of disease, it also includes prevention purposes.

Why people choose to come to Japan for health check-up?

Health checkups using cutting-edge testing technology

Japan has the highest life expectancy in the world, and this prestigious position is achieved through early detection of disease through advanced screening techniques. Utilizing the latest medical equipment and AI technology, we can find tumors no matter how small.

Sufficient medical equipment capacity

Number of medical devices per million population
CT: 111.5 (first in the world)
MRI: 55.2 (first in the world)
PET: 4.6 (third in the world)

Follow-up and support services

Health checkups in Japan are not only for the early detection of diseases, but also for the purpose of reviewing daily lifestyle habits and preventing diseases. It’s not just a simple health checkup; after the checkup, you can receive specialized guidance on how to improve your lifestyle from a doctor, nurse, or registered dietitian based on the results of the checkup.
